For the Love of the Walk: Our Story
Our story begins with a deep love for golf’s greatest tradition: the walk. We believe it’s where you connect with the game, but a heavy bag or a cumbersome cart can get in the way. We started Alphard with a simple mission: to make the walk better, protecting the rhythm and focus of every golfer.
Roots in the Game, Built on Expertise
Our journey, however, started long before our first Alphard product. Our family's roots in golf manufacturing run deep. Beginning in 1999, we were the trusted Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for Sun Mountain, helping produce the original Speed Cart and manufacturing over a million push carts for the industry's most respected brands.
This experience gave us an intimate understanding of a cart's every nut and bolt. It also showed us the limits of existing technology.
A Lesson, a Pivot, and a Hoverboard
Our journey wasn't a straight line. Our first product, an all-in-one bag and cart, failed to take off. The lesson was invaluable: don't replace what golfers love; enhance it.
This pivot, combined with inspiration from the most unlikely of places—the hoverboard craze—led to a breakthrough. The hub motor technology from hoverboards was the perfect engine to power a new idea. We called it the eWheels (now the Club Booster).
We took the concept to the crowdfunding community, and their response was overwhelming. Our initial Kickstarter and Indiegogo campaigns raised over $1 million, turning those first backers into our founding partners. Their belief is still the backbone of our company.

For the golfer seeking a fully integrated system from the ground up, we engineered the Cybercart. It’s a robust, all-in-one electric caddie built to be the last cart you’ll ever need, ready for any terrain.
