Convert your cart into a Follow Caddy with remote.
Unlike conventional follow-behind caddies, the CB Sidekick allows your Club Booster to automatically track on your left, right, or behind you. Without having to turn around frequently to check and see if your caddy is still there, you can focus on the game and let the Club Booster V2 do the driving for you.
Enjoy seamless transition between follow mode and remote-control mode with the press of a button. Newly designed remote with more features and visual screen included.
Simply pair the CB Sidekick and the new remote controller with the Club Booster V2 for the first time, mount it on the handle, then choose your preferred mode and off you go.

This thing is awesome and works very well. It does have a few flaws which I'll mention here. Note that inspite of these flaws I still rated it highly, because it truly is great in spite of these flaws, but for those considering purchasing this, you should be aware of some of the issues/limitations regarding it.
First, I'm concerned when it says, "Do not rotate manually or you will damage the gears." I'm hoping that just means while it's on, because it's impossible not to do so accidentally when handling the unit to install it or taking it off to charge it.
Related to that, though, is that the instructions don't say this, but they should, that when you want to turn the unit off, you should turn off its remote first. Even while in 'standby/manuals control' mode, it still rotates to follow your movement, and it twitches the closer you are as it tries to maintain line of sight to the remote. So if you walk up to it in order to hold the button down on it to turn it off, it will be moving around and if manipulating it by hand can cause damage to rhe gears, then I worry about long-term wear and tear because it's impossible not to when it's on. Turning the remote off removes what it's trying to follow, so it stops moving automatically allowing you to turn it off safely.
Next is the fact that it needs line of sight to the remote. This may not be obvious to some, I don't believe it's mentioned in the manual, and you may have assumed it was tracking you/the remote via wifi, Bluetooth, or radio signal. But it's really just an infrared beam, like a TV remote. This means that you *have* to wear the remotes on the exterior of your clothes using the included clip. You cannot keep it inside a pocket or the sensor won't be able to find the remote. Not a big deal, but it's worth noting the remote is magnetically held to the clip, there is no physical lock, so if your concerned about bumping something and losing the remote, then you should be aware of that. I will say I've had zero problems with this, and that if the sidekick is in 'follow' mode and the remote were to fall off the clip, you would notice the cart no longer following you as it simply stayed near the remote, so you have a form of feedback there and it's unlikely you could lose the remote unless you were reallllly not paying attention.
Next is the mounting options. There are two mounting options, one for mounting it to your golf bag (the far better option if your bag can accommodate the mount), and one for mounting to the Cybercart's handle. The problem with the handle mounting is that the sidekick doesn't sit very high, so even with standard length clubs, your driver/wood heads/covers will probably obstructed the sidekick's view. As a result, it can't really be used in the 'follow behind' mode, and it will more easily lose line of sight to you because any time it needs to rotate and the club heads wind up between the sensor and you, you will likely need to manually rotate it back to a point where it can lock onto the remote again. The problem with the bag mount clip is that it is too bulky to work with bags that have a putter well and have carry handles along the side of the top of the golf bag (for reference, I use a Sun Mountain C-130 bag, so you can see what I mean). The ideal place to mount the sidekick is at the front of the bag, where it will only ever lose line of sight to you if it somehow ends up turned around a full 180 degrees, far less likely than when it's mounted on the cart handle.
The last issue I have with it is the remote it comes with. Namely, that the remote is pre-paired to the sidekick, and i don't think it could be paired with a replacement remote, if one were needed. And the remotes, both the standard Cybercart one and the Sidekick one (which are nearly identical) are very fragile. I dropped mine on a fairway and the plastic shell had scratches on it. I fear for its long-term durability, especially for the screen which is a soft plastic and not gorilla glass like a modern cell phone. So, if the remote were damaged beyond use, you might be expected to replace the entire sidekick unit (I don't know for sure, Alphard customer support never answered my question about it).

Best investment for all golfer who likes to walk,
U play more efficiently believe it!!!!
Dennis A.
I just opened the box today and have little if any interest with using the Sidekick.
Zachary C.
Great product! There’s a little learning before seamless operation, but I have the hang of it after a couple rounds now.

Excellent

It works great on the Cybercart!

It took about 4 months to receive my Sidekick...
Don C.
I used my new Omni Cart with the Sidekick feature for the first time yesterday. It was awesome. It is so easy to use once you get the hang of it and saved my back and my energy level to focus on what I need to be focused on, my golf swing! It handled steep hills without any problem and never fell over during the entire round. I would recommend it highly to anyone thinking about whether or not to purchase it!

Makes walking enjoyable
Rafael L.
Gave it three stars because it disconnects from time to time. When I switch from manual to follow, from the tee box for example. It disconnects and have to turn it of completely so it reconnects. Otherwise it is really nice when it follows you by itself.
Lizabeth S.
Nice
Kevin E.
Great products from a great company. Liked it so much I bought another for my wife!!
Mark M.
Most of the time it works fine. I have noticed it can get finicky at times seemingly when there's bright sunlight. Sometimes it will fail to connect or stay connected to the remote in those circumstances.

to get an electric golf cart that is able to follow me at half the price of the cheapest comparable cart out there is pretty amazing. I went with alphard v2 to be able to keep my existing cart that im familiar with and love, and have transformed it into an electric cart. then i find out about the sidekick and have further transformed it to be able to follow me. if you have any doubts, dont, because its the best decision ive made. i look forward to using this combo when playing our rounds. it allows me to focus more on the game and the strategy when im out there and have alphard to thank. great job and thank you for the innovation.
Ben P.
Doesn’t really work, doesn’t give much benefit over using the regular remote.
Dennis A.
Unfortunately I can’t give any feedback nor comment just yet. I have not used it because the Cybercart have not arrived nor delivered. Still waiting for the cast so I can try and test it. I am hopefully it works and functions as advertised.
Donald S.
Golfing with Sidekick is so enjoyable. I can just play golf and walk peacefully without using a remote. The follow-me feature works great! Having your clubs and bag automatically follow you provides a feeling of having a caddie!
Michael M.
I ordered the Side Kick a month ago, I have used it about seven times. So far its features are nice, but I find it looses signal too easy and can be a bit problematic to get going again. When it’s working it’s great but the loss of signal troubles me. I also have the TFS, it was rock solid in its use. Perhaps the Side Kick would benefit from a better sensor to see the remote. Still on the fence
Mark Y.
When it works the sidekick is great, very smooth and allows you to concentrate on your game. Unfortunately for me the sidekick dropped out of signal to many times, resulting in me having to walk back to reconnect and on several occasions having to revert to manual / remote until I could repair. This distracted from my game and before the ninth hole I reverted to the remote. The remote works great but this wasn’t why I purchased the whole bundle. Sadly sent back for a refund. I’m sure there are lots out there that may have no issues and most reports I have seen tend to be positive.
I don’t think any follow me is quite ready yet as I had the same issue with a Stewart golf Q follow.
Brian C.
Can't really recommend the Sidekick. I'm on my second unit after Alphard kindly sent me a replacement sensor, but still having the same connection interruption issues as the first one. Not only is the follow inconsistent, causing you to take over manually on nearly every hole, when you're about to hit a shot, the sensor scanning around for the signal from the remote is pretty distracting noise-wise. I am considering swapping for the tethered system or just using the remote option at this point.
Neal J.
It may be too soon to rate the SK since with the Florida heat I have only tried it twice, but I have a hard time getting everything synced and started and then switching between follow and manual after I get to the Green and back to follow on the next tee box.
Considering a return.
Gary B.
Takes about five rounds to figure it out. But once you do it follows you obediently, around the green, down tight paths. You almost forget it's there. I personally hate fooling with the remote. So, it's Five stars for me.
michael S.
What a game changer this is! I usually have a push/pull cart, but this makes a significant difference! Amazing product! My only advice is to try different positions on the cart/bag if using the sidekick - I tried on the cart handle one time and almost ended up in a ditch. Once you figure it out, it’s so worth the cost. Especially compared to other electric trolleys.
Mark Y.
I used a push cart for years thinking it was not bad. Using the CBSK and the V2 is so much better. It is a much better round of golf not pushing a cart and you still get a good walk in.
Dennis A.
Getting some exercise while enjoying a great game.
Steve B.
Very inconsistent you have to use the remote all the time it’s no better then the original waste of $
Stephen D.
Awesomeness
Justin M.
This V2 by itself is a game changer. The Sidekick makes it better. Being able to walk and not think about steering your cart allows you to just enjoy your time more. It does have troubles in follow mode directly behind. It seems to lose connectivity when it hits bumps or you are at different elevations. However, when you have it follow to the left or right it seems to work flawlessly. If prefer it follow directly behind because it makes it easier to navigate trees and bridges. If they could fix that issue I'd definitely give it 5 stars.

Complete game changer for my relationship with golf. Fitting into my ClicGear 3.5 was a breeze. I am impressed with all the thoughtful design aspects of the Club Booster V2. I have played two 18 hole rounds and one 9 hole round in poor conditions. The energy that I have on the back 9 compared to walking with clubs or just pushing is substantially better. The remote is super intuitive, and the value compared to other options seems incredibly hard to beat. One thing that is fantastic is the wide berth of the Clicgear with the club booster. I have lots of confidence in uphill and funky side hill paths that my new ‘caddie’ may encounter. You will not regret the purchase and will pay for itself in short order if you were more of a rider or wanted to walk but dreaded the back 9 energy drain. I am smiling ear to ear on the course.

The Aphard Club Booster V2 and the CB Sidekick are both awesome technology that enhances the golf game. It is so easy to setup and activate when new. Once we get on the course, the magic starts. First of all it is has an amazing gyroscope. The balance, precision and movement on the CB V2 is absolutely stunning. I play on a hilly course and it is fantastic. The CB Sidekick and the follow features are also awesome. I just came back from knee surgery and my goal was to walk my home course and this is the key to making it happen. It took one round to get used to it and now I can play my golf game with a great deal of focus and not worry about carrying my heavy bags. The folks at Alphard are also terrific and have been extremely helpful and reactive when needed (Tony Cheng). They have given me great support for the product and have shipped me accessories and my gear within a few days! Thank you Tony and team. Customer for life.
Joe B.
Received Booster v2, golf cart and Sidekick for Christmas. Easy to put together and working. Tried it out in the yard, the Sidekick does a good job following to the left, right and behind. Cannot figure out to go into manual mode though while using Sidekick remote. Have to switch remotes using the one that came with the core product (v2 Booster). Looked thru the manuals and YouTube; no help. Called Customer Support, but after 10 minutes gave up as no one answered or responded to the Chat. I've sent an email for another question days ago; no response. Alphard seems to have a really good product, but like many tech companies I've worked for, customer support and documentation is usually lacking.
Ken D.
After 7 months my sidekick quit working. With just a few emails and a video showing the issue, another sidekick was quickly mailed to me with a return label for the defective one. Great service.
Paul M.
Haven't had a chance to use it yet but set up was really easy and I moved the cart around a little in the garage, worked just fine. Can't wait to get to AZ and use it on the course.
Samuel B.
I want to like this thing, but it keeps stuttering and stalling. It will work well for two or three fairways then forget to follow me. It dislikes the hillier holes as the gyroscope struggles to keep it straight, so I have to turn it off for those holes. I contacted customer support and asked if I could return it and have heard radio silence since asking if I could. I don't necessarily want my money back, just a store credit, but they won't answer me. I really like my "R2" V2. I've had it for about 1.5 years and it works well with the standard remote, but the sidekick??? Maybe if you play on a Florida course that is mostly flat.
Kevin A.
Alphard sidekick has been fantastic. The addition of the bag clip to alleviate interference from sight with clubs make it work nearly flawlessly. Every once in a while have to raise remote in air to reconnect with sidekick. Great product!
Frank d.
Hi Alex
I have not had the opportunity to try my side kick yet because my golf season is done and will not be playing till April but I am sure I will enjoy it very much.
Thanks Frank
Cheryl A.
Had charging issues with the first version I bought, exchanged several emails with Alphard tech folks, they sent me a warranty-paid replacement that worked perfectly and a prepaid shipping label to return the faulty unit. Unfortunately, walking with it around my yard was all I had a chance to do with it as weather closed in and ended my outdoor golf season shortly thereafter. Looking forward to putting some mileage on it come springtime!
Michael A.
The sidekick works as promised. It is awesome to be hands free walking Dow the fairway, getting yardage, having a snack or drink.
Responsive and intuitive! I love it.
Keith M.
I have now used the sidekick for four rounds and it took me a few rounds to get use to it. For me I found it works best (and great) if it is attached in the front of my golf bag instead of on the golf cart handle. When it was on the golf cart handle my clubs would sometimes block the signal. I also prefer keeping the remote in my back pocket as I didn’t always get the remote on the magnetic holder properly and it would fall to the ground
Ben R.
Works well. It loses sight of the remote pretty easily even when I’m in the fairway, which causes it to stop.
David K.
This is a great add to this setup. You can select to use the remote control to move the cart or set it to follow mode, where the cart will follow wherever you go. Highly recommend this.
Inor K.
it's great when it works. every now and then it will lose connection w the remote and i'll have to stop walking, switch to manual control and drive it to me and try again.
travis r.
It does not always work well
Kris I.
I wouldn’t buy this if I were you . It’s just doesn’t work well as it should . Waste of the money .
Robert G.
I'm very disappointed using the sidekick after using it for 5 rounds.
1. Sometimes it follows, sometimes it doesn't, I find myself having to use the remote way more than should be necessary. (It becomes an annoying distraction)
2. Drained the battery much faster (barely made 18)
3. The TFS I have performs so much better. ( I always know my cart is right behind me) I use the remote way less.
4. I'll keep using it several more times, hopefully work out the kinks, otherwise I'm going back to my TFS and keep this as a backup. Good thing I bought it on sale!
Gregory C.
The SK worked best for me when mounted on the front of my bag. Mounting it on the cart handle affected the connection a little, maybe because of the steel golf club shafts. Following the directions to start it with the arrow pointing forward, and making sure the white stripe was facing me when making changes on the remote made the operation more reliable. I need to add another way to secure the remote since I inadvertently swiped it off the magnetic clip and had to walk back to look for it. The 15/30 yard presets are not included on the new remote, but I guess I can still use the old remote for that. Overall, I'm glad I purchased it. I feel a greater sense of freedom as I walk the course.
Jon Z.
Have not used it. I’m busy.
Henry G.
I was an early adopter of the V1. I later upgraded my internals to the V2, and I added the tether follow system. I loved the TFS because I could spend less time “steering” with the remote. The CB Sidekick is a worthy upgrade, and the new remote adds useful features.
The remote clip and magnetic remote attachment is a low-key game changer. I used to keep the remote in my pocket during rounds. Now, I can easily clip and unclip it from my belt.
The remote has some great upgrades for ease of use. The clip, as mentioned, makes it easy to access and store the remote. The remote itself vibrates when it disconnects from the unit, which help me keep track. The remote also has a distinct “follow” button that I can activate and deactivate by feel.
One of my favorite features is the ability to use the follow feature to recall the unit to my position. With the tether system I needed to either “drive” the unit close enough for me to grab the tether, or walk over and grab it. Now, I can push the follow button and the unit will connect to the remote, amble over, and continue to follow me. This is an awesome quality of life improvement. I can finish up on a green, recall the unit, and by the time I finish updating my stroke count the unit is standing by ready to roll.
Nice work Alphard.
Dan S.
I love the idea of the product, however, it has trouble locating the remote multiple times a round. To fix it, you have to walk back towards the Sidekick and even when standing right next to it, it has trouble locating it. When it works correctly, it’s great but I spend a lot of time trying to get it to do what it’s supposed to do. I will say the remote is superior to the original and that’s why I gave it three stars.
STEPHEN H.
My sidekick hooked as directed. I had to hook up the remote a second time, but since then the sidekick has worked as advertised, which is awesome! It has seemed to learn my walking pace etc, even though it wasn't advertised to do so. But it is a total luxury as the V2 worked great prior to adding the sidekick.
John F.
Works as advertised.
I’m more comfortable with the cart in front of me, so I’m seldom using it.
Nothing wrong with the product.
Ruben U.
I haven't taken my cart to the course since adding my CB Cart. But trying it out in my yard it looks like I'm going to like it out on the course.
Ron P.
Took a bit of practice to find a spot that the sidekick would not lose the signal. Ended up mounting it on the front of the bag. Works great. Remote is very well nice. Only criticism is it takes me 2 hands to remove the remote holder from me back pocket, although the magnet clip is fantastic. Also would prefer not to have to recharge sidekick and remote every round.
Kyle D.
Worked straight out of the box and every time since. The most relaxing and freeing rounds I have ever played. Just walk and golf. Thanks!
Tom D.
Highly recommend the sidekick. Took a few rounds to get familiar with operating the sidekick. The back follow mode works best for me. The remote and magnetic belt clip makes working with the unit real easy. It's great to walk the course hands free!
Sandor S.
It has problem following me especially in the "Back" mode. Seems that the remote loses connection to the SideKick device while walking away. In these cases you need to walk back and persuade the trolley somhow to follow you. Once under way in follow mode it works quite well. The remote does not have a possiblity to advance 15 or 30 yards straight in SideKick mode. This is only possible with the normal Remote control without SideKick.
Todd L.
Device came in very fast and works great
Daniel S.
This is great, makes walking with your cart an enjoyable experience.
Taylor W.
it’s a great concept and it’s awesome when it works. However it’s wildly inconsistent, constantly loosing connection, so I’m left having to use the remote. I want to love this product but it’s way too buggy to trust
Charles V.
Takes some getting used to, but overall works well
Dan S.
This is a game changer. I'm the envy of everyone at my club. Zero complaints, here. Thanks.
Gerard M.
Continually loses signal and i need to use the remote control. There is a lot of switching on and off again to get connected. Promised a lot but does not deliver i am afraid. Think Stewart golf have the lead on this one.
David M.
It is a great addition to my cart. I can activate follow me and the cart will follow me down the fairway.
Verlyn T.
I have been using the Sidekick now for almost a month now and I have to say that I am enjoying walking even more now. I still think there is room for improvement, but all in all I’m impressed.
Brian M.
I received the order very quickly. Charged up all the devices installed the unit in approx 45 minutes. I totally recommend practicing in the yard or in an open area prior to going to the golf course. There is a small learning curve but after that it’s just a walk in the park. 2 other buddies bought the sidekick also and we r walking all the time. Just me but my scores went down walking vs riding. Personally I like to clip the sidekick remote on my left rear pocket and have it follow me on the left side. Other options are fine but that’s my preference. Highly recommend this product and you won’t be disappointed.
Tim T.
I’ve had my V2 for almost 3 weeks and I decided to add the Sidekick and have used it twice and so far it has worked surprisingly well. It is definitely something that you should test out before you use it on the course as there are things to remember to do or else your cart will run over your ball. Overall I’m loving the freedom of walking the course without having to use the remote all of the time.
Vincent M.
Once I found the sweet spot for mounting the Side Kick, it has been great. I did have an issue with it and Alphard customer responded right away and sent me a replacement Side Kick in time for my tee time the following weekend. Their customer service has been outstanding every time I encountered an issue. I highly recommend the Side Kick.
jerry p.
Excellent! It works as claimed. Need to provide a taller mount if installed on the handle bar of the cart in order to clear the clubs.
Grant W.
I have really enjoyed this upgrade! Works very well. The remote is very nice. I like that it shows the battery life. The belt clip for the remote is solid. The remote won't fall of while swinging a club or walking.
Gardner G.
I had a little trouble with the first time set up and the cart took off and ran into a trailer in my driveway and sheered the front wheel axle mount on my bag boy quad. I ordered a new part and I think I have it figured out. Probably user error
Tom V.
I have had some issues with the placement of the SideKick but once I received the bag mount, they went away. Also, once you get the remote on your belt, you only need to use one button to stop and start. I love the SideKick now.
Scott C.
Best purchase ever. Works like a dream. Back to walking even the most difficult tracks. Thanks for the great product.
Cloyd F.
great item! i would recomment it to all my buddies that have the alphard V2. easy to use and it took me 5 minutes to set up and figure it out how it works. its not perfect yet, but with updates it will be operating flawless. thank you for finally creating a totally Wireless follow me golf cart!
Greg G.
I love the V2......should have purchased long ago. The sidekick works wonderfully when its connected, my only complaint with the Sidekick is that after switching to standby mode it is sometimes hard to get re-connected
Brandon
Best purchase ever for golf!!! Outside of lessons!!!
Eric S.
I love my v2 ewheels, I've added the wheely bars and now the sidekick. I'm amazed at the engineering and quality of build on everything from Alphard. I was the first to get a V2 at my course. Today the V2 is the majority of electric caddies. I purchased a battery this year thinking my old one had to run out at some point this summer. Not the case. I would estimate I have more than 250 rounds of golf on the original battery. Amazing. The sidekick is the top of the mountain in terms of engineering, both electronic and software engineering. A friend of mine was in a cart and asked me to jump in and see if the sidekick/V2 could keep up. He was amazed that it did. It takes a bit to truely trust and feel the freedom of walking up a fairway with the V2 following you. Amazing, love it.
Gene S.
Seems like it works pretty good. Issue I had was the remote would just cut off as I walked the fairway. I spoke to James and he advised the remote turns off every ten minutes to save the battery. So now when I take the remote off my belt I don’t just sit it down and pick it back up after I swing. I have to hit a button to shut it off and the FL to turn it back on. Have not tried that yet. I believe he said you could use any button. Guess we shall see. Other than that. It’s worth the money. Plus you get to have conversations with people you normally wouldn’t have.
Randy F.
4.75/5
Overall, very cool. Would recommend. Can get a little glitchy, but not as glitchy as my golf game.
Had it track the wrong direction a few times. Instead of tracking toward me, it took off 90° from me. Restarting it fixed it. Could be user error but happed one time in two rounds. Not a big deal. Super fun and cool. Get one!
Rajendra C.
Played 4 rounds with this so far. Love it. Works great. Playing partners are jealous. Made playing in the heat tolerable
Natolie O.
The device works better mounted on the front of the golf bag vs the cart handle. It doesn’t always respond after you hit a ball and start walking again. I have to walk slowly away to make sure it follows me. More than half the time it doesn’t, and I have to manually forward it and then switch to the follow mode.
khai t.
Place the promotional oder in Sept 2022 , I finally got in mid May 2023 ..we had alot of trouble getting it my hands but it's here thanks to Tony and staff . THE Sidekick works great just make sure the directions marker is correctly pointed..it's on constant movement to locate and follow the remote best to keep in the rear of your pants belt .follow me feature will keep up with even if you stride abit faster than normal, make sure nothing falls out of the push cart because it will alway be behind you, left or right never in the front .
The remote uses alot of energy with the new led display make sure to charge once every 2 rounds and would do the same for the sidekick..overall is convenient when you have to work both hands but on hot days rarely use it ,I would like be under the umbrella most of time ..it's fun toy to the v2 !
Mark H.
I have enjoyed my V2 for almost 3 years now. The Sidekick has made the experience even more outstanding, taking the experience to a whole other level! Thank you Alex and Alphard!
Larry P.
I have been using the Sidekick for month now and love it.
Richard H.
After waiting a couple of extra months, I received the CB Sidekick in good order. Everything worked fine, installation went well on the handle of my Sun Mountain Speed Cart. I haven't used follow-me mode much on the course yet due to my learning curve, not wanting to slow down play or have issues with the transition between manual mode and follow mode.
Roger L.
Been a decent experience with learn to get This to work. Have found that the placement of the remote is very critical. If you have it set to follow in back of you and you place the remote on your hip, you will drive it nuts. I find placing it on my right or left hip and having it follow to the right or left is best. My one complaint it the difficulty of seeing the remote display with polarized glasses on or in the sun. Bit difficult to see.
Pay close attention to “parking” it when taking your shot or putt. It just might sneak up on you if you’re not careful…….LOL
Danny S.
I have only been able to use it once. I had trouble with my head covers blocking the signal so I moved the receivers to the front of my cart. I have the two-wheel system so I could attach it to the bar between two front wheels. This helped the cart stay with me much better. I still had times I lost signal and I would have to walk back to it to get the cart to follow mw again. I am still learning .
Danny Smith
Jon B.
Takes a bit of getting used to. Remember that the cart direction sign moves to point backwards when you’re ready to move forwards. Other than everything else seems to work intuitively. I’ve mounted mine to the front of my golf bag to ensure “line of sight”. Well worth reviewing the tips and tricks on the VIP Club Booster Facebook group.
Dennis M.
It took me about 3 rounds to fully enjoy the hands free. I would definitely purchase again if needed to
Brian O.
The new remote is a game changer. The initial remote was functional but for a gadget guy the new remote is on point. Regarding Felicia (the name I have given to my sidekick), she is a SOMEWHAT responsive girl. She listens better than my wife but is somewhat fickle. We are still in our honeymoon phase as we have only been together for 3 rounds, but very happy with the purchase. The handlebar adapter is good but not great. I would like to mount it on the left side (since I prefer to have her walk along side me on the right) of the grip but then it is hard to get Felicia to stay parallel to the ground since the grip is slanted on both sides. I will continue to try, but mounting it in the middle she sometimes listens and sometimes doesn't...much like my wife.
Cheryl A.
Took a bit of climbing a learning curve, so practice in the yard or golf course parking lot out away from obstacles is recommended. Once you learn to take it from Parked to Follow mode BEFORE you step away toward the ball you just hit, it follows like a well-trained dog, even heels better than my dog LOL! It doesn't do well in tight turning spots, so you must plan where you walk and which side or rear you have it follow you. Great brakes - skidded to a stop within an inch of my shins several times!

I have used the sidekick for one round of golf. When it works it’s great and follows well. I had issues getting the cart to follow me consistently and trying to troubleshoot during the a round is not ideal. I have a CaddyTek CaddyCruiser ONE Tour and Nike Air Hybrid 2 Golf Bag and the drivers and woods were blocking the line of sight between the remote and sidekick. After rearranging my bag and adjusting the height of the handle I was able to get it to follow consistently.
When i set it up to follow on the left or right the cart tends to have trouble following close and will often get very wide left or right so be careful if near water and other hazards, following behind was most effective for me. Once the above issues were resolved it was very nice to have the cart just follow me around the course (like having a caddy) If you’re using the follow from the back feature you will have to be mindful of how close you get to your ball before stoping the cart it was often too close to take a swing and I had to back the cart up on a few occasions.
Definitely test it out thoroughly with your bag and clubs before playing a round or on a slow day at your course. It’s not perfect but it’s definitely very close, hopefully with some updates and more practice it will become more easier to navigate.
I am looking forward to my next round, to get another chance to get more comfortable with my new toy. I definitely recommend this feature above using the remote, much easier to focus on your next shot, read the greens as you’re approaching and not have to focus on steering your cart ( not that it’s a distraction) but not having to do so is noticeable.

I've had my sidekick for about three weeks now and played as many rounds. It has its ups and downs. When it tracks the remote it works great, but when it doesn't it can be very frustrating. I can call it to me, but it still doesn't want to act normally. I've had to shut both he remote and sidekick down and make sure the sidekick is aiming forward then restart both. This seems to fix those tracking issues, but I still can't figure out what the interference is.
I have a ClickGear 3.5 and a Sun Mountain C 130 bag. The sidekick is mounted to the upper grip and the my driver and fairway hoods sit far enough down I can see the sidekick with no issues. I wear the clip on center of my back.
I really want to love this product but still trying to figure out the bugs.

Works well requires some self training. The position that you have the remote stored in effects signal performance

So far testing the sidekick I have had 0 issues running in my neighborhood. I have it on the handle of my Caddytek. I use a Sun Mountain C130 bag. The driver sits down near the handles, so there is no issues with the sensors. I have tested on follow, left, and right and I love it. I am ready to take to the course and really use it! Thanks Alex and the Alphard family for another great product.

Potentially excellent improvement. I’d highly recommend mounting of front of bag to improve line of sight. Still some wrinkles to iron out on starting after putting it on hold when around the green, etc. I’m still not certain if it’s product or user error. It takes some getting accustomed to.

I have used the side kick several times now, it works great! Setting it up is easy. Charging the sidekick and the remote is easier with the new cables. The only thing you have to get use to is turning off the follow me feature when you are approaching your ball to hit it. It flowed me right over my ball a few times. Until I got use to switching it to the remote mode. I think the Sidekick is well engineered and thought out. Thanks.

I was a lover of the TFS, but now being wireless is an upgraded game changer for sure
