You can now upgrade your V1 and get all the new features in the V2!
- 6 axis gyroscope to keep the cart going straight on side slopes
- Integrated Bluetooth to connect with accessories like the TFS
- More power, more torque, more efficient firmware
- Electronic parking brake on hills
- Include V2 remote - smaller, lighter with bigger buttons with internal rechargeable battery lasts for 5 rounds
- App enabled for firmware upgrade, customisation, and backup remote
Important: this upgrade kit does not include the V1 battery. If your battery is still holding sufficient charge, then you do not need to replace it.
After installation, we suggest to test out the Club Booster with mounting on the push cart.

End cap popped off after 2 years. Left it at my golf club to call and get a replacement. The company just sent a response email 3 months later saying that I would have to do it myself. I had to purchase a new end cap to see if I can fix it. Still under warranty so my thought was a New replacement Unit sent to me, not the response of “here is a part..you fix it”. My worry…If one end cap popped off the other will too.
And hopefully there is not any electronic damage from water.
Jim
The upgraded unit really outperforms my original V1 unit. Only 4 stars because the upgrade kit did not include 1) new machine screws to secure the component in place and 2) new moisture seal strips to seal the mounted component from the inevitable water on the golf course.

excellent

Just received my upgrade package for my V1 to a V2, the whole change over took about 15 min. really straight forward.
But there were 2 things i had to look up because there was no information in the packing!
The first item had to look up, was when the remote needed to be charged and how many rounds of golf it could be used,
The Second item was how to to pair the club booster app. to the E Wheels and to my phone thru the app. other then those 2 items every thing works good! looking forward to getting out and driving my wheels around the golf course
Randy W.
Great upgrade from the V1. Does everything that it is advertised to do and better. Even goes great in the snow!
I do hope the V2 upgrade will also be able to work with the new sidekick coming out. Sent a request a couple weeks ago on whether or not it will but haven’t had any response back yet.
jeremy f.
Was early supporter of V1, upgrade is fantastic, love the app!!! Great improvement!!!
John W.
works much better than the V1 . tracking is much better with the swivel front wheeled rovic. go's a little crazy around 50/60 yards out , spins out of control and comes to a stop! only happens once in awhile !
Alan D.
I have had the V1 since it hit the market and it has been relatively good performer despite some obvious and some not so obvious design flaws. The designers must have taken heed of some feedback because the V2 Upgrade, together with the wheelie bars is money well spent. Better performance, better tracking, better remote, better stability. Thoroughly recommend the upgrade!
weichang f.
Much easier to control
Battery lasts longer
Margaret G.
Faster, tracks and turns much better. I love it!
Robert W.
I converted my version 1 to a V2 and love the fact that it keeps the cart going straight. Had many problems with the older version when I installed the double wheel setup on the front...Almost no control, back and forth, back and forth for the entires rounds. Once I replaced the V1 with the V2 everything went great!
Carlos .
easy to install no problems...

So good !!!!!
Willie W.
Works as expected... Has more pwr than the original! Good
Dan O.
I upgraded my ewheels from the V1 to V2. It is so much better since you are not constantly adjusting the cart's direction everytime it goes over a mound or hill. The electronic brake is an excellent upgrade as well. The upgrade is a bit pricy after the initial cost of the original unit, but I am now very happy with the unit. The only problem i have is with both the original and new remote control. Since you often have it in your pocket the buttons should be recessed so you don't accidently push them, especially when you crouch down to line up a putt. My cart actually rolled across a green one day when I was lining up a putt. I could see the cart accidently rolling into a greenside pond. Otherwise the unit is great with the upgrade.
Enrique M.
It was very quick
Jason G.
This is an excellent upgrade from the V1. The gyro mode is legit! The cart goes exactly where it's pointed. The other thing that jumped out at me is that it seems to be more efficient with the battery, as I had more lights remaining at the end of my round than I did with my V1 motherboard. I also like the upgrades to the remote. It's easier to feel the different buttons with the small, raised indicators on each button. Overall, this is a nice upgrade to my eWheels, especially once I add the swivel kit to replace the fixed wheel on my 3.5+ cart.
Kathy A.
I ordered the V2 upgrade kit for my V1 which was orignally purchased in 2019. Installation was very straight forward, and I installed a new V1 battery at the same time. Love the way the V2 operates!!
Daniel L.
Super easy to install and took less than 20 minutes to have it back up and running.
Robert K.
Upgrade was very easy to do. Instructions were clear. New capabilities are great. All issues with V1 wheels have been eliminated. Very satisfied.
CARL Z.
Would help to include an illustration of the new buttons and an indication of how long / how many rounds a "charge" lasts
Dwight B.
The V2 upgrade enhanced the performance of my V1 tremendously. The cart navigates hills and maintains a straight much better.
Drew F.
I have a Sun Mountain Cart and Cart bag and have used the original Alphard for about three years. When I saw there was an upgrade to the V2 model by changing the "board" I jumped on the opportunity to make the change to the new version. I am really glad I did because the cart runs much straighter than before. Also, the electronic brake is really a great feature and makes the cart so much easier to park on hills. I highly recommend the upgrade kit.

Excellent customer service.

Easy install. Works as promised.
Mike M.
I replaced. Used twice and cart worked for only 14 holes each time.
Charged cart for approx. 4 hours until all lights are on.
Charged remote until green light goes off. Note on older model, used over a year about 80 rounds and never had to charge remote.
Robert F.
I just converted my V-1 e-wheel to the V-2 upgrade. It was more powerful, more responsive and had a lot more battery life by the end of the round. The installation was a breeze. A big thumbs up from me.
Ronald G.
The new V2 upgrade is worth its money! I also upgraded to the 2 front wheel swivel conversion kit for my Clicgear 3.0 cart, turns alot easier. V2 upgrade faster 6 speeds, straighter (6 axis gyro) for hilly courses, electronic braking. About the only thing I didn't like about upgraded V2 is the remote holder. I modified it with a washer attached to the remote and used the V1 remote mount as pictured.
Rand B.
I had the V1 and upgraded to the V2 with the conversion kit. I totally love it. With the V1 I had to focus on the controls at all time while walking to my ball. With the gyro feature I feel like I’m having a walk with my caddie. The extra speed is a nice feature and the stop/brake button gives me piece of mind while I’m putting out. Only thing that bugs me is, the charging port flap won’t stay in slot. It was worth every penny to purchase.
Todd H.
I upgraded my eWheels from V1 to V2. What a great upgrade. Unit runs straight a true. This was a great investment! Thanks Alphard for a great product!
DEAN M.
Very easy to change. Love the upgrade
Christopher K.
I have had the eWheels since it first came out and the upgrade is a welcome change. The cart is faster and tracks straight.
palmer, k.
Great improvement with the V2 upgrade, cart tracks straight and is faster. Love the new remote, did have some sharp edges so I used some steel wool to smooth the edges. Easy to install. I definitely recommend this upgrade if you have the original unit.
Michael K.
costumer service was excellent
Chris M.
It's great. It goes in a straight line now. Before it pulled to the left.
Rick G.
I just upgraded my V1 to V2 and I only wish I'd done it sooner. The improvements are dramatic. I loved my V1, but spent a lot of time with the remote to keep it going straight. I have a clicgear cart that had fixed front wheel. I replaced it with the two wheel upgrade which helped with turning but not with staying straight.
The V2 is amazing. I stays on a straight path with very little correction needed. I also really like and needed the electronic brake due to cutting the original Clicgear cart brake cable to attach the new swivel conversion wheels. And of course the rechargeable remote is a great upgrade.
Installation was pretty straightforward. The Alphard website support video was perfect for step by step instructions.
Happy golfing.
Kenneth L.
Every aspect of the V2 upgrade is as advertised expect the remote. The gyro, hill braking all works great but the remote needs a lot of work. From the attachment; a real pain; to the shape and manufacturing; the bottom edges are too sharp and feels uncomfortable. Please offer a motherboard upgrade to the original remote like the V2 upgrade kit!
Mark R.
No regrets....did notice a big difference with the upgrade.
Larry D.
Control of the unit is TOTALLY different from the V1. Instead of pressing a button for an action, one only needs to tap the button. This seems a result of the tremendous increase in torque and speed of the upgrade- it took me two rounds to orient myself to this earth-shaking change in response speed & timing. This model, it seems due to the increase in speed, tends to lunge into action rather than smoothly engage as my V1 did.
Tony M.
Received the upgrade kit within a few days of order. Installed easily n quickly. Made my old ewheels faster with more charge. Using it more now.

Great upgrade
Ralph H.
I purchased one of the first Alphard boosters sold at Tri-Mountain Golf Course, and it helped an 80+ year old walk the course with much less energy used. A number of other golfers followed suit and started using the device, and upgraded as soon as possible. I continued using my original until recently, when the "motherboard" quit reading the remote unit seems to remain controller. I am glad I got the V2 upgrade, as the battery in the original unit is still taking a full charge and functioning well.
Jim W.
Swapping out the motherboards was very easy. Only issue I have is that the controls on the new remote now work backwards...the up button makes the wheels go backwards, the down button makes them go forward.
Don't know if this is a motherboard issue or a remote issue.
Carl S.
This upgrade fixed the two issues I had with the V1. It now tracks straight on side slopes with my swivel wheel cart and even corrects for the fact that the cart is out of line. It also now holds on a slope when off with the added brake feature. Was concerned with the way the remote connects to the cart, but after the first use found it much better than the magnet connection. All these things make what was a very good cart almost perfect. Only nit I have is the cover for the remote charge port is right under my thumb when in use.
Neil B.
I had difficulty with the instructions (pictures are difficult to assess) but with an assist from Tony was able to correct the problem. Love the upgrade.
Khalid W.
Getting the V2 upgrade completely changes your V1, makes it super powerful and the enhancements to the gyroscope will be readily noticeable to you. It's an easy install. If your V1 is otherwise in good shape, this upgrade will definitely hold you over until you are ready for the new V2 or even V3.
Michael C.
The upgrade has several pluses. The gyroscope keeps the unit on track without constant corse corrections. The unit is faster on uphill stretches and can climb faster than I can, a nice improvement. The unit is much more stable on steep downhills and holds its position when stationary much better. Being able to use your smartphone as a backup controller is nice.
A few minuses with the controller. It is more sensitive to inadvertent movements when you put it in a pocket. The old model very rarely did that. The new one does it at least once a round. The silicone cover for the charger port is always catching on clothing or my hand. There is no way to secure it because it is located too close to the buttons. I may have to just take it off to avoid the aggravation. Last, there is nothing to tell you when the controller needs to be charged and having the light go off when charging is complete is counter intuitive.
Walt G.
My cart is the Rovic RV1S with the swivel wheel. I was having to constantly be aware of where my cart was because it could go off on its own without a moments notice. V2 upgrade keeps cart under better control even on sloping fairways which is my club has.
Tom M.
The V2 upgrade kit made significant changes to my V1. I especially like the gyroscope to keep the cart going straight on a slope. That alone was worth the price of the kit. It now stops where it is parked and I don't have to worry about it wandering off. When I first installed the upgrade I incorrectly installed the left and right wheel wires. I contacted customer support and they got right back to me and explained the problem and sent photos that were helpful.
Yin A.
Extremely good upgrade from the V1. Everything from reaction time to maneuverability is vastly upgraded. Well worth it!
James K.
Worth the price to upgrade. I felt the tether should have been included in the change.
Art B.
The upgrade is easy and quick to install. My observation are that the remote is an awkward shape to hold and not as comfortable while walking. Plus, the charging port cover is right where your thumb rests, causing it to pop open frequently.
I do think the directional buttons are better with their raised portions you can feel.
The attachment to hold the V2 remote is not ideal. I took a magnet from one of my old V1 remotes and taped it to my V2 remote so I can use the older magnetic holder on the cart handle. It is much better.
The gyro is a pain and prevents you from trying to nudge the cart or change directions without the remote. That wouldn’t be so bad but the left and right buttons cause an abrupt turn as opposed to a more gentle one, making it difficult to make simple directional adjustments. If I could disconnect the gyro, I would.
The speed of the V2 is harder to control. I could get the V1 to exactly the speed I wanted. With the V2 is it either too fast for my walking pace or too slow. There is no in between, making it difficult to walk with the golf cart, which I prefer to do.
Interestingly, the V2 upgrade seems to use a little less battery power because I still have the V1 battery in my cart but the V2 uses one light less power for an 18 hole round.
I still like my cart and would not have a different brand. It is a great product. But those are my observations about its use.
Thomas E.
Haven't been able to finish a round of golf yet without the battery dying. So now I'm waiting for a stock of new batteries to come in
Michael N.
Significant improvement over V1. Combined with the Swivel Kit and a new battery, V2 works great-straight, fast, excellent turning-major upgrade at a reasonable price vs buying new V2. I need a few more rounds to see whether more efficient with V1 battery, but so far so good. Note on Swivel Kit installation on Clicgear 3.5, you must leave the black insert in the tube of the Clicgear after taking off the front wheel and clearing out the other insert and spring-this original insert holds the nuts for the supplied new bolts to secure the Swivel Kit apparatus. I agree with others that the new remote is fine, but the clamp too hold it to the cart is cheap-old magnet on V1 remote worked better IMHO.
Shout out to Tony for excellent customer service.
Ron B.
Easy to install. Seems to make my V1 Battery last longer. Goes straight on side hills. I like the remote lock button. Can put the remote in my pocket and not have to worry as much about my cart running off without me. Worth every penny.
brian m.
Many things to like about the upgrade. Works remarkably well in keeping cart in line with target previously had to start adjusting the route immediately and then continued throughout the hole. Even in slopes it adjust back to target line did notice the faster the cart goes it tends to leak right at least in mine.
I am not noticing the battery drain any faster and I believe because I do not have to constantly adjust the path.
Up grade was very easy and took less than 15 minutes.
2 minor dislikes.
The strap to hold the control is now rubber and not hard plastic as previously designed. Rubber strap constantly moves.
The control has the USB port in the side and I constantly pull the rubber cover out when holding the control. Think bottom would better location.
All together it was a great upgrade
Great job
Scott W.
The upgrade did a real nice job of keeping the cart more on track, even in hilly terrain. Seemed to help with the battery longevity as well, and was much more pleasant to walk with as you didn't have to continually adjust the tracking on the cart. I like the newer controller except that I'm not sure about the rechargeable battery just yet. Seems much easier to carry an extra set of batteries on the course to replace when the rechargeables run out. Now, you have to carry one of those charges to re-charge it so you don't get stranded not being able to control your cart mid-round.
The only other "complaint" is the upgrade costs. Stings a bit to get hit for almost as much as I originally paid for my original wheels. But, it does work much nicer now.
James L.
I needed a new battery for my V1 and saw the V2 upgrade package. After reading all the reviews, I decided to add that to my order. I am thrilled. The improvements are terrific. The 6 axis gyroscope is the best. I have a Rovic cart with a swivel wheel and play on a PB Dye course that he didn’t want anyone playing from a flat lie so I was constantly redirecting the V1. The upgrade self corrects for me. The extra speed is great. The hill break and the remote are great (the V1 ran away from me a few times). I did put a washer on the back of the remote so I could continue using the cart handle magnet from the V1. All in all, I am very, very pleased with the V2 upgrade. Thanks!
Steve K.
V2 upgrade has been great at going straight. Unfortunately it did not solve my battery problem. We first thought the V1 constantly turning left and having to adjust with a tap right drained my battery. Wasn’t the case, battery is being replaced under warranty. Unfortunately V1 battery is back ordered and I have to wait a month. Disappointed they won’t provide the V2 battery under warranty. In the meantime I can only go about 15 holes the last handful of rounds. New remote is disappointing. The lock feature on the remote is awesome. I like to stay under an umbrella as much as possible, it’s been difficult walking with the cart because the speed would vary and I would run into the cart when it hesitated. V2 remote holder is a joke. I have to get use to recharging the remote when charging the wheel.
The V2 is definitely better at going straight that V1. I love it for that reason. I hope getting a new battery soon will solve most of my problems and allow me to focus on my bad game instead of worrying about when will the battery will die on me.
Kevin A.
Fantastic upgrade. My only complaint (very minor complaint) with the eWheels was version 1 never went straight. Had to always steer it even down the middle of the fairway. The new v2 solves that problem. It goes straight. After 2 uses I believe I get longer battery life as well. Easy to switch out the motherboard as well.
Robby P.
I was an original Kickstarter supporter for the V1 Ewheels in 2017. While it is a great product and never failed me, the V2 upgrade is far superior to its predecessor! The controls are more responsive, it fixed holding its line on the side hill lines, and made walking that much more enjoyable.
steven y.
Fantastic machine with version 1.....simple upgrade, took minutes.
Highly recommended ,
Michael s.
The holder for the remote isn't very good. I preferred the magnetic one from the original.
RICHARD L.
The V2 dynamic braking used too much power and barely made it around a flat course.
Stephen M.
Very easy to install love the Gyro setting
Ren C.
I was thinking of changing to the navigator until I went to the website and saw the upgrade. I’m glad I did and saved a lot$$$ plus really happy with the performance. instructions to install was easy. Highly recommend the upgrade
Pat c.
Easy installation
Curtis R.
It really changed the performance of everything love the gyroscope feature
Edward L.
My V-1 club booster functioned great. However the V-2 upgrade was less than desirable. The changeover wasn’t difficult but the V-2 upgrade caused my booster to vibrate and made a grinding sound. The remote is black/black and very difficult to read. The rubber band remote holder is really a step down from the V-1 version. My V-1 was a great machine. I made a mistake by going to the V-2 upgrade kit. I only needed a new V-1 remote but I chose to upgrade. My bad. I must say that Alphard is aware of the problem and working to correct it.
Katherine M.
The Alphard upgrade is faster, quicker, and more maneuverable. I'm very glad I upgraded!
Danny S.
Great improvement, it tracks much straighter and it is much faster. I read where it used 15% more power, my first time out I played 9-holes and I still had all 5 lights indicating the battery charge. Much easier to drive, where you were constantly having to make adjustments depending on the slope of the land. If the land was flat it went right, not anymore. Sorry no video or pictures at this time.
Danny Smith
John P.
Goes straight no going off course battery seems to last longer
Eric S.
The V2 upgrade is a significant difference from my initially purchased unit. It is faster, the gyro keeps the unit on-line and the rechargeable remote is worth the investment.
My suggestion is to upgrade when able, it's worth it.

Easy to remove the V1 and install the V2. Seems to use less battery power but that may be attributed to having converted my Clicgear 3.5 front wheels to the swivel retrofit. Definitely moves smoother but I really can’t tell if the gyro feature works. That because of the course contours. The true test for the gyro would be to run it on a perfectly level course, which is not realistic.
Thomas K.
SO this is an awesome addition to my Clic gear. I love to walk just hate pushing my bag so this was an excellent addition, I also bought the add on front wheels so it turn better. The problem I ran into was that the wheels were uncontrollable it would turn and just keep going, so if you look at my picture I added a support beam to control the front wheels. You guys should seriously look at it and come up with something to control the front wheels cause otherwise its out of control. Other than that i love it and use it at least once a week!
Larry K.
Installation was easy. I wish there was more documentation on the remote. How do you know it's charged? How long does a charge last? etc. I do like the upgrade.
Dean M.
The V-2 upgrade kit was as described. Easy to install, tracks straighter and the brakes are great! Completely satisfied with my purchase.
Gillian S.
Instructions were easy to follow and within 12 mins, I had the V2 up and running with remote control paired. On the course, the V2 was more stable even during uphill and downhill slopes. I was amazed that my trolley was well balanced and I did not hold on to the handle during uphill climbs. Overall, it was an amazing experience...
James B.
I like the features of the V2 but in hindsight not sure I would upgrade again. Main reason I upgraded was for the gyro. My cart has a pivoting front wheel and had problems keeping it strait. It now goes straight and has more power, but my battery has died the first two times I have used it after the upgrade. My battery has less than 100 charges, has always been stored inside, and I set a timer when I charge it to make sure I don’t overcharge it. I have now ordered a replacement battery but wonder if I am now going to have to replace it every year. Epoxied washer on remote so I can still use the magnet that came with V1.
Tim B.
Works great, just don’t like where they put the plug for the charger on the remote. It’s on the left side so your hand opens it all the time.
Ronald Y.
Upgraded to the V2 and love it. Gyro is fantastic at keeping the cart headed straight. Love the reverse feature. Great purchase!!
Eddie R.
The V2 upgrade kit is a such a improvement over the V1. The V2 upgrade kit was very simple to install. The electronic brake, more torque and speed and programmable firmware, and when adding the swivel kit makes a world of difference.
Love the rechargeable remote what a improvement from the V1 remote with the back battery cover falling off all the time. Just wish the remote had a way to advise when the battery is low
Joseph L.
Simple to upgrade, good instructions and YouTube videos. The new V2 remote is a downgrade from the V1 remote in quality (cheap plastic and feel) but the app with firmware upgrade capability is a huge improvement. The V2 must put more power to the wheels - the cart tries to do wheelies almost every-time it starts to roll. The battery also doesn’t last quite as long. Estimate about a 15% reduction and would not last 27 holes like the V1.
Glenn Y.
The V2 upgrade kit is a vast improvement over the V1. The installation of the V2 upgrade kit was very simple and seamless. The improvements I enjoy is that the cart now travels straight (forward and backwards), the electronic brake, more torque and speed and programmable firmware. Although the V2 is faster, it comes with a price...reduced battery life of about 15%.
The remote was also improved. I like the on/off switch and raised control impression buttons. Although, I am not fawn of the twist off versus magnetic attachment to the cart because it is more difficult to release the remote from the cart and there is no battery life indicator on the remote and the V2 remote battery can die at a moments notice (the V1 AAA batteries can be easily replaced when it is depleted).
Overall, the V2 upgrade kit is an improvement over the V1 and worth the cost.
Michael S.
I've been using these wheels for the last year and wanted to upgrade my current wheels with the new V2 set up. The install was simple and easy, took no more that 10 minutes. Very excited to put this in use this Spring!
Luis F.
I've owned the V1 for about 3 years now (since Feb. '18) and it's been great! The quality of the eWheels is top notch and I'm really impressed with the sturdiness of the unit. I recently decided to purchase the V2 upgrade kit, which took my eWheels to a whole new level. I was very pleased with the ease of installation and the added features that the V2 offers. And as others have mentioned, having Alex respond to my inquiries really shows a high level of customer service.
Gary D.
Like the new v2 upgrade with the gyroscope feature. I no longer have to keep correcting the direction. I like the new lock function on the remote so I don’t accidentally hit the buttons when I put it in my pocket. This v2 also is faster than my v1. Upgrade worth the money!
Vaughn e.
Upgrade is well worth it.
Bob N.
I loved Version I so had to try V2. It only took about 15 minutes to remove the old and install the new, but I couldn’t get the remote to work at first. There were no instructions so I went to your website and found directions for syncing the controller, and in another few minutes it synced up fine. After two rounds of golf I was happy with how well it holds its direction down the fairway, but was very disappointed that it would veer off sharply while going up steeper slopes. After contacting your company I was advised to download your app and update the V2 firmware. My next round proved that the problem had been solved, and I felt much better.
Overall, I like the new version, and after I get used to the controller will probably like it a lot. It takes off like a rocket if I’m not careful, and just seems to have a lot more energy than the original. I’m not sure yet how this extra energy affects battery life, but at least I’m still able to get through a complete round on a charge. I love the thought of not having to change out batteries on the remote. I can actually walk freely down the fairway now without having to constantly correct the direction of my cart. And I don’t have troubles going up steep slopes anymore. So great job, guys!
Roy B.
Love the upgrade kit! Very easy to change out.
I can really notice a difference in the tracking on uneven slopes and the new remote is a big improvement.
Curtiss T.
I just upgraded to the V2 and I love it it makes my cart stay straight even when on hills but my one complaint is the remote on the V2 compared to the V1 is so cheap it’s plastic very light weight doesn’t feel like it’s going to hold up plus it’s not magnetic to connect to my cart it has a strap you put on cart and then have to twist you remote on and off
Dwayne V.
This upgrade is amazing. Drastic change with the performance of ewheels. Great job
Russ M.
V1 to V2 Conversion Kit didn’t come with instructions. I suggest you mark the connectors on the V1 circuit board before disconnecting. Faceplate screws were two different types on my V1. Thankfully I had bits for them. Old remote had a magnet so could easily attach to the handle on my cart. V2 has a different connector. Will take it to the course next week to test it out.
David M.
I bought the upgrade kit. Received the new board, no manual and no remote. Got the remote a week later no manual I can find online so I guess I will try to figure out on my own
Michael C.
Best thing ever
